The Spanish & Portuguese Synagogue offers newly
renovated modern facilities, luxurious and spacious reception
halls, separate cocktail and holding areas. Our Main Sanctuary
with its redesigned elongated aisle creates an ambiance of enchantment
and elegance for your most memorable wedding day and can seat
over 500 persons. Our newly constructed daily chapel reflects
the charm and warmth of our services and can seat over 160 persons.
We offer easy access to the elderly and handicapped, as our Main
Sanctuary and two large reception halls are on one level.
For your reception we offer you a choice of three
air-conditioned halls:
1. Lawee Hall:
Suitable for 150 to 380 seated dinner guests, with a dance
floor, a stage for an orchestra or a DJ., and a bar inside
and outside the hall.
2. Aintabi
Hall:
Suitable for 80 to 200 seated dinner guests, with a dance
floor, a stage for an orchestra or a DJ. and a bar inside
and outside the hall.
3. Battat - Intimate
Reception and Conference Hall: for up to 70 seated
dinner guests. This hall is suitable for small events,
conferences, meetings and any small reception.
For your convenience we provide tables, chairs,
platforms, white tablecloths, stainless steel cutlery, standard
Synagogue dinner settings, and more. Your caterer should be familiar
with those items that are supplied by us. Other items if required
may be rented from a rental company.
Halls are rented for scheduled dates only. Set-up
time is known to your caterer and should be confirmed with the
office. The halls are rented for day or evening events until 1:30
a.m., should the event extend beyond that hour, the Synagogue
will charge an additional fee.
For your convenience, we provide you floor plans,
including dimensions and suggested maximum layouts for the halls.
Your caterer may suggest other table arrangements for your event.
The capacity of the halls varies according to your need and the
set up.
